These are a few of my favourite things

Oh yeah. It's a roast chicken. Made by the brilliant Megan Hansen-Knarhoi. I'm obsessed with it. Unfortunately I don't own one. Yet.

She has an exhibition coming up soon in Wellington...
Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious
Mary Newton Gallery
150 Vivian Street
Opening Tuesday 2 March; 3 - 27 March 2010

And aren't these Totoro mittens just amazing? They're from Nimoe's blog and if you're a knitter (or know one) you can get the pattern. She is also sharing some cute amigurumi patterns. I'm particularly fond of the fox. So much so that I've bought the wool to make one. Watch this space.

They come. They go.

Say hello to my brand new friend, Priscilla.

And goodbye to Mr Skittle. He has a new home. And a new name. He is now known as Dougal. Which suits him perfectly.

Nossie and Woof Woof

I've been up North again to visit family. Including the handsome Nossie...

Had a glorious ocean swim and a visit to the native bird recovery centre in Whangarei to meet Woof Woof, the talking tui.

Happy New Year

Here's Eric in the (empty) paddling pool enjoying the hot summer weather. Or attention seeking. Or letting me know that he is home and therefore available to be fed. But, undeniably, cute!

And - at last - a new friend. For my Wellington friend. He had to be hers when I noticed her wearing the exact same socks! I'm not sure about the mood though. Pensive? Noble? Sad? The photo doesn't show it but I embroidered claws on this guy. Maybe he's just trying to look tough. But, really, he's just a softie.
